CIDER CUP
COMPETITION FORMATS
Two members from a feuding Family make up a Scramble Team. Family team members each hit their own ball but always play from the chosen best position of either family member's shot. Repeat until a ball is holed.
25% of combined handicap used to level feud play.
Two Family members from each family make up a team and play their own ball. Each Family member team counts the lowest one of its two scores on a hole.
Men - 90% handicap used to level feud play
Women - 95% handicap used to level feud play

Two selected Family members (1 BLUE or WHITE and 1 HYBRID or YELLOW) separately compete against similar Tee designated players from the other Family in a head-to-head match.
100% handicap used to level feud play

Score in ALL matches is kept in relation to the feuding opponent. The Family team that has the lower score wins the hole and is marked 1 up. The Family team that loses is marked 1 down. If strokes are tied the match score is unaffected.
FEUD matchups become public on Thursdays and Fridays at OXFORD HILLBILLIES GOLF LEAGUE Dates (every 3rd week)
FEUDS must be completed within 20 days
FEUD Handicap spreads are signed off by the Hillbillies League Administrator. No Protests!
Playing rules are the same as those governing the Oxford Hillbillies Golf League
NEW FOR 2026:
Family Heads can organize head-to-head matches with opposing team at their discretion. This may assist with accommodating the less flexible working participant.
Two selected Family members (1 BLUE or WHITE partnered with 1 HYBRID or YELLOW) make up a BAIL OUT team. Family members ALTERNATE their beginning tee off shot and then Alternate a single team shot from each position until the ball is in the hole.
The twist - other than the Tee shot a partner can BAIL OUT their partner by re-doing a shot once per hole per team. The Bail Out shot is the shot that counts even if the ball lands in a hazard.
50% of combined handicap to level feud play.
