Scrounge
Both players in partner team HIT their own tee shot
On second shot SWITCH and hit Partner’s ball
Choose the best positioned ball between you and your partners second shot
SCRAMBLE format the rest of the way to the hole
A single TEAM score is recorded on the Score Card
SCRAMBLE: Each player in the pairing takes a shot from the singular chosen ball position after the second shot until the ball is in the hole
Damn Scramble
Both players in partner team hit their own tee shot
Every shot thereafter, until the ball is in the hole, each player on the team hits from the BEST chosen ball position. A single TEAM score is recorded on the Score Card
Hillbillies League SCRAMBLE Twist…
If a partner firstly hits the ball into the hole achieving Birdie or Better (Par or Better for Daisys) the partner can duplicate the same shot for -1 stroke on the team score…
Money Putt: If a partner TEAM’s Score is a Bogey or Worse on a hole it’s a +1 on the card… (Double Bogey or worse and it’s a +1 for MAVERICKS & DAISYS)… “DAMN” !!!
Best Ball
Both players in partner team play and score their own ball all the way through
The BEST BALL Score between the two partners is the official Team Score
Hillbillies League BEST BALL Twist…
The DIFFERENTIAL Score on each hole between partners is recorded on the card as well to determine winning partner pairs only in the event of a tie. In Hillbillies Golf both partners contribution to the overall score matters and so this scoring
Four Score
The competition is a regular stroke play game with a FOURSOME team scoring twist. Yes - this game is played as single stroke play but scored as a FOURSOME.
On Par 3s ALL 4 scores in the Foursome are added together for a single Team Score
On Par 4s only the Top 3 scores in the Foursome are added together for a single Team Score
On Par 5s only the Top 2 scores in the Foursome are added together for a single Team Score
Tie Breaker is Lowest Team Score on ALL Par 3s combined. After that..... Gun Range....
Scatter
Both players in partner team tee off and then choose the best ball position between the partners
From the chosen shot location each player SCATTERS and hits their own ball the rest of the way
Each player records their own score on the card. Each Team records their combined score (added together) on the card
The Competition is Lowest Team Combined Score
Bail Out
The competition is an Alternate Shot game with a BAIL OUT Hillbillies Twist
Both players on partner team hit their own tee shot
Choose the best tee shot of the two… The partner whose tee shot is NOT chosen plays the next shot for the team
Partners alternate shots until the ball is in the hole
A single TEAM score is recorded on the Score Card
The BAIL OUT Hillbillies Twist… One single time per hole…per partner team… a partner can BAIL OUT their partner by re-doing their partner’s shot without an additional score on the team score
When a BAIL OUT is used the partner team is committed to the outcome of the BAIL OUT shot
After the BAIL OUT shot the Alternate Shot format resumes with the opposite partner playing next shot
A BAIL OUT cannot be used from the initial Tee Shot due to two errant shots as both partners will have shot. Rather partners choose one of the two tee shots and Alternate from that location with or without penalty
